Default ASP.Net (visual basic.net) school project

Hi,

I am attending University, & i have to design a web application with the aims and an E-Learning with E assessment software application in ASP.NET (visual basic.net).
The database must be relational.

My question is that "what is the most simplest, easy relational database can I use in my ASP.NET project, eg. microsoft access, SQL etc. especially for a beginner like me.

Hi there,

I would go for SQL Server Express (2008 or 2008 R2). From an ASP.NET point of view it's probably the simplest database to use (provided you also install SQL Server Management Studio Express) as many ASP.NET features assume you're using it. Managing tables and queries is just as easy, if not easier, as it is in Microsoft Access.

Hope this helps,

Imar

I prefered you to use SQL database ...!! because SQL is inbuilt in every version of Visual studio so we need not to install any other software ... !!

Thanks
