I have not use php in two years and am trying to put together an on-line gradebook that will review class assignments track student grades provide notes per student and etc. What book or where can I find some example source code to get started on how to put this together.

This would be difficult in PHP; must it be PHP driven? I suggest getting another type of solution, such as "Edu-Track," a program for a homeschool teacher.
