Image error in php

I have a problem with my php 4.0 script :
<?
$image = imagecreate(250,250);
?>

Php says that this imagecreate() function is undefined ....

Any one can help me ??

you need to install the php extension, gd2

If you're using the binary version of PHP you've already got GD, you just need to enable the gd2 extension in your php.ini file.
