Default e-mail list for clubs

Can anyone recomend a PHP program that will let my hockey club be able to send e-mails to each other. They never seem to have each other's updated e-maill address.

I want something that allows me, or them, to add and edit their addresses, then use the program to write an e-mail to selected members or a predifined group (i.e. board members, parents, players).

I am an experieneced database programer, but new to PHP and MySQL.

Can anyone make some suggestions on programs?

You can roll your own or make do with a PHP forum. It shouldn't be too difficult to write your own from scratch, as long as you don't need a lot of extra bells and whistles.

I liked phpBB the last time I played with forums, but there's a lot out there.

Otherwise, I think you're really looking for a mailing list server/manager with a web front-end. Many mailing list managers are available for free.

Take care,

Nik
