I am located in Singapore.
Due to my family financial difficulties,
I am unable to further studies.
This has force me to look for alternate ways to earn income.
I decided i would start my own online business.
But due to my limited knowledge of programming,
I only know the fundamentals of html.
I hope people out there can help me out with these 3 questions.
1. How can i create a web whereby members have to log in with username and password like the one in this web forum, friendster or hotmail.
I have heard that php can do this.
2. How can I set up in this a particular form, whereby, customers or prospect can choose to opt in for newsletter by sending their email address, and the moment the person his or her particulars, within minutes he or she will be able to recieve a confirmation email that is already prepared before hand.
3. Similar to question 2, but this time its that, how can I transfer the prospect or customer particulars into excel the instant he or she click the submit or confirm link. I greatly appreciate all the help that anyone can give me... Thank you!

Php combined MySQL seems like it would be a good place for you to start. You should do a google.com search for "Beginning PHP and MYSQL" there are a lot of great free web tutorials for beginners that I think will help you get off to a good start.
