Default Configure PHP/Apache

Hi,

I've installed PHP version 5.2.3 and apache 2.2.4 on windows. Can anybody tell me the proper way to configure PHP on apache and configure apache on PHP. I don't want to use xampp or any other tool. I want to do this by editing PHP.ini file and apache configuration file. please tell me the how to do it.

Thanks in advance.
