Hi there I just installed IIS and PHP4.34 Although the book I have "Begining PHP 4" tells me to download the version of PHP4 from http://php4win.de that link doens't work and i'm having troubles with the version of PHP4 for windows available from PHP.NET

Problems i'm having include: When I extract the files to c:\php dir. all the files that the book talks about aren't there.. There is no ISAPI dir. so I can'tregister the php ISAPI Filter.

Also I have installed IIS 5.1, the book says it should run on boot up but it doens't. Could this have something to do with the SQL2000 i have running?

Really confused can anyone set me straight?

Funny, I could've sworn I already replied to this. Anyway, the PHP windows installer at php.net will not have many of the optional extras, but it should come with the apache module and IIS isapi module dlls. The ZIP file contains everything. Make sure you're getting the Win32 binaries.

SQL Server is a completely separate application and shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with PHP or IIS.

I suggest you try unzipping the PHP binary distribution again and make sure that your unzip program (e.g. winzip) correctly creates the folders contained in the zip file.
