When you install a VB program that you have developed, you typically must create a Setup or MSI to be able to make sure that the components and supporting dlls are delivered and installed on the target machine.

For very simple applications you can just copy the exe, but for an application that has references or non-intrinsic components you must install those components and dlls along with the application.
