I have a Cognex insight smart camera and I want to be able to us visual basic to pull data from the camera. Cognex has vb libraries for vb to use, however there is not much in the helps to know how to make these work together. Does anyone have any experience with cognex and vb together or know of where I could find some example sample code for this?

I use several Cognex 5400 cameras. You don't really need to use vb just to pull in information from the cameras or send technically. Although it can make things easier in the long run. If you want to use vb, you can find sample code on their website. To my knowledge the libraries for Cognex are very limited. Depending on what exactly it is you are trying to accomplish you may need the SDK from Cognex.
