Default Print to Tiff driver

Hello,

I am looking to find information on print to tiff api's. I need to develop an application in which the user can print to a virtual printer (faxprinter) and that printer will convert the pages to tiff, and then prompt the user to supply the fax number (the numbers are stored in a sql db) and do various other actions after this.

I am only having trouble with printing to a file. Does anyone know of any api's that will help with this functionality or maybe sample code?

thanks.

Have you had any success with this? I am looking at doing the same thing.

This works under XP:

Open the Printer and Faxes dialog, click on Add a printer and follow the Wizard. In the Using the followong port box select the "File (Print to a file)" option. Name the new printer as you want and it will be selectable from the Print dialog (or from the Printer collection)

Macrostraf, i need something programmable, im not sure if that would be or not, also we are running 2k not xp and the print to file feature in 2k dosnt output it to a multi page tiff.

I found the company imageMAKER, they have a tiff printer driver that is totally programmable and it looks like it will do the job, as long as i can get the expense approved:)
