Smile replace dateadd, datediff due to bugs

I found there are bugs in old vb6 project that make use of date functions like dateadd and datediff. What is the best way to fix it or replace them using another DLL etc?
Even if M$ do not want to enhance the old visual basic 6, it is not bad if they can fix these old bugs. Why not?
