File Downloads - Fix in Progress
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for hanging in there.
Hi,
I just used the ftp link to download the files and was somewhat relieved to find that the they are the correct ones. Admittedly, it is not easy to identify what chapters some of the files relate to. And, to make matters worse, some of downloads are missing. I totally understand your frustrations ... it get's to me too.
A little history ⦠our book was written during the transition of Wiley purchasing Wrox. Protocols, formats, templates, seemed like just about everything was in turmoil. Despite our best intentions, the downloads havenât been managed to the best advantage of you, our readers. I apologize and am working to fix that and to ensure that our next edition will get it right from day one.
The good news is that Wileyâs structure has come a long way and they have guidelines and infrastructure so that authors can consistently provide a better experience for our readers. The bad news is that prior work wasnât reviewed and upgraded to the new standards.
At this time, Iâm working with the publisher to organize the existing files so that it will be immediately obvious what chapter they relate to. I am also looking for additional download files. Weâve heard you and as the lead author for our 2007 edition, I promise to pay attention and be more responsive to your concerns and needs. Please hang in there and weâll get it right!
I will greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. Iâm very excited about Access 2007 and the next edition of this book. And, Iâm dedicated to making it the best reference of its kind.
