Default Size of text box depending on size of another box

I hope someone will be able to help me with the following problem.

I have a report with a number of controls which all have their CanGrow and CanShrink property set to Yes. Some of the controls are coloured to create a vertical stripe on the paper (for weekends and weekdays).

However, when one of the controls grows the others remain at their original height. This has the effect that the vertical stripe is interrupted and the report is more difficult to interpret as a result.

How can I force all controls to be of the same height as the largest control?

Thanks for any help you can give.
