Default Maximize Attachment With Open Attachment Button

In the book there is a great example of a tool to scroll through attachments and generate a preview of the file. I modified it a bit and added a 'delete' function that allows the user to delete the current file. But it needs a finishing touch.

It needs to be able to open the current attachment in it's native external application (i.e. Acrobat Reader for PDF) with a button on the form.

The "Manage Attachment" window is a horrible user experience and takes far too much continuous training. Does anyone have an idea about how to open an attachment file with a button?

Any help is appreciated.
