The chapter does not explain how to get to the Online Diary, that we are supposed to work with. How do I access it?

Do you mean access the source, or access the site after it's installed?

The online diary is a bit different than the other chapters as it doesn't have an installer. Instead you should unpack the zip file to a folder like c:\Inetpub\wwwroot. You'll end up with something like c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\OnlineDiary.

Next, open up Visal Web Developer and choose Open File | Open Web Site and then browse to the folder you created when unpacking the source files.

Finally, hit F5 or Ctrl+F5 to start running the site.
