I have added an administrator role and users for the login screen, but nothing works. I am using SQlProvider.

Hi Danny,

Can you define "nothing works"? These kind of observations don't really help in diagnosing and fixing your problems.

What doesn't work? Do you get an error? If so, what error do you get? How did you install / setup the application? Are you using IIS? Are you browsing to the site as http://localhost or are you opening the site by pressing F5 in Visual Web Developer? Did you follow the instructions on setting up the database (look at the end of the CMS chapter for more info).
Did you browse through this forum for posts related to your issue? And were they indeed related? (this has been reported before).

I am sorry with my ignorance.

What I means with "nothing works: is that I created roles and users, but I could not log in to the "Blog", "Your login attempt was not succesful".

And what about the other questions? How did you create the roles and how do you browse to the site?

If you use the WSAT, you may end up with roles for an application like /Blog inside the database. When you then browse to the site http://localhost, the app is seen as /
Consequently, the application can't find roles or users for / (as they are stored for /Blog instead), so access is denied.

Look in the aspnet_Applications table. What do you see?
