Default Permission Problems on Deployment

I'm learning a lot from your book - good job. However, when I deployed the On Line Diary to my personal Win2003 server with IIS 6, without making any code changes, I get a 403 Permission denied error when I try to run it. With the BugBase program, I do not get the error and can't see any difference in how they were published from VS 2005 to my server. Any ideas?

Maybe because your web site doesn't allow "Directory Browsing" and the Online Diary doesn't use a default document (that is, it doesn't have a file called Default.aspx in the root)?

Try enabling directory browsing on the site in IIS or create Default.aspx in the site.

These ideas helped. It led me to examine the ASP.NET Configuration Settings via IIS where the Login URL wasn't set properly. So, a default.aspx page isn't needed as long as the Login URL property is set when using Forms authentication.

Thanks for the help!
