Hi Paul,

As I suggested in a private e-mail conversation: you need to provide much more details. How is your current site designed? Where do you want to integrate? What language is the site written in? What do you already know / is your level of knowledge?

I am sure there are many people here willing / able to help (including myself) but you need to ask specific questions in order to get that help. E.g. "I copied this and that file and now I get this and that error". Without these kind of questions, I am sure nobody knows what to suggest..... ;)

My site is in vb
When you enter the site the first thing you see is a gridview that says view me and chat.
When you hit the chat hyperlink it takes you to a page chat.aspx. This is where I want to put the chat

And what is it that you need help with? Do you need to know how to create a link from one page to another? Do you need to know how to add existing files to an existing web project? Do you need to know how to create a chat room on the fly based on the info you pass to the chat???

I can drag this out of you, question by question, one at a time. Then, by the end of the year 2014 you have your site up and running. However, by then you don't want it anymore as Visual Studio 14 has then just been released and Web 3.0 is old news.

Alternatively, as requested numerous times before, you can help us help you by providing sufficient, relevant information about your situation, requirements, setup and level of expertise.

I don't know what you expect form us as a reply based on your vague questions.

I don't want to sound unfriendly, but I just don't know how to help you with what I know right now.
