Hi - following my initial install of the wrox blog on my shared server, I get this message...

Compiler Error Message: BC30451: Name 'BlogManager' is not declared

Source File: ...\Controls\BlogEntries.ascx.vb Line: 35

Any suggestions? Thanks..Dale

Did you upload all the code in the App_Code folder?

Imar, yes, all files and folders were uploaded...the application is in a subfolder of the root, but I did maintain the exact original folder structure, and the app_code files and folders are all there. Thanks..dale

Hi Dale, That's the problem: you can't have an App_Code folder in a sub folder when that folder is not a Virtual Directory marked as an application in IIS.

Moving App_Code to the root should make classes like BlogManager available.
