Default WebShop - SMTP Issue

Dear all,

I run the "WebShop-Modified" application and clicked the "Finalize Order" button (without changing the SMPT setting). After clicking the button, seems that now my computer keeps trying to send e-mail to 66.116.109.37 and I believe the address is invalid. That's way it keeps trying to connect every minutes (prompted by my AVG E-Mail scanner).

The default SMTP settings:
[email protected]
smtp.YourProvider.Com

How to remove the 'generated e-mail by this webshop' from my system?

Looking forward for your reply. Thanks in advance.

Keiko

Hi there,

Take a look at these settings:

[email protected]
smtp.YourProvider.Com

There are not *default* settings; they are merely placeholder. You'll need to replace them with your own address and mail server as explained in the book.

Hope this helps,

Imar

Hi Imar,

Thanks for your reply. I only realized the default settings after I executed it for the first time.

The issue now is how to remove the pending SMTP email (created from my first execution of the program) from my system. Since the email cannot reach smtp.YourProvider.Com (66.116.109.37), it keeps trying to send it out every minute. Can I remove it from somewhere?

Looking forward for your reply.

Thanks in advance
Keiko

Hard to tell without seeing your machine. Maybe you have a mail server running that keeps trying to send the message?
