quote:[i] Anyway, you said nothing about my note that DESIGN part is missing. Ok, just take a look at the SAMS's ASP.NET 2.0 unleashed. That book explains everything and you will find a lot examples where the author tells you put that there, now type this etc. especially i like the parts where he analizes the code with the reader together. And again that book is intended for already experienced developers.
Now Please, notice that all people who post here talk only about the modifying and adapting the things. Doesn't it tell you something, that *every* post for this edition of this book talks about adapting stuff?

...problem-design-solution while design part is missing.
Its not that the Design part is missing, but that there is too much of a gap between design and solution

Re the comparison to unleashed, your right, there is no comparison but there's not one intended either. Unleashed is an 1800 page comprehensive approach. Marco's book is 600 pages targeted about application design and building.

If the issue is there's not enough design coverage or a gap from design to solution, that's good feedback for the next edition.

But if what you are looking for was really something like unleashed, the right book from WROX to compare to is Professional ASP.NET 2.0 ISBN 0764576100 or the new bigger Special Edition of that ISBN 0470041781.

more precisely the asp.net 2.0 unleashed is book of 1963 pages and as i already said its weight is exactly 3KG lol
Also notice that this boks comes with CD-Rom (very unique packed) that includes a code used in the book and Web developer 2005 Express.
Btw, i am glad that you finally confess that the certain "book" is not that flawless ... "gap between design and solution" are the magic words that i couldn't recall all the time. Thanks Bob and also thanks Jim for your kindness to talk with us. I'll reconsider the buying of Wrox's books in the future.
