Default Newbie - Help with Chapter 2

Hi All

I am slightly confused on page 28/29. Marco suggests using a graphic tool to establish the co-ordinates for divs. However, I cannot find the "Beerhouse" graphic template in the download code to work with. Should it be there? Am I missing something? If it isn't there, can anyone suggest the best way to get hold of the graphic so that I can do as suggested in the book.

Also, Marco suggests dropping the serverside controls and HTML elements into the layout on the master pages. Are these elements supposed to be extracted by the reader from the Beerhouse graphic template using something like Fireworks or, are they provided in the downloads?

Finally, for now, following Marco's advice above, he goes on to say that he prefers to create the code "by hand" and the various points in the code he provides in the book seem to have "text" specified rather than refer to the server side controls and HTML elements that he said should be dropped onto the master page created in the designer?

I seem to be a little stuck getting past this point because I am unsure what he is actually suggesting the reader should do. I am certain it is me just misunderstanding what I am being told so please be patient with me :)

Any help would be very much appreciated.

This is not a step-by-step book, and you can't re-create the project that way. He's trying to teach the architecture and principles, and he assumes you know asp.net, at least to the 1.x level.

Marco only used the 3rd party service to get the images, and he threw away all their code and made his own. You can see it in the code download.

Hi Eric

Thanks for the "heads up" - I understand what you are saying and will bear this in mind.

Cheers.
