Default RSSItems

I am trying to set the number of items shown in the RSSReader control. Page 194 of the book says this is done with the RSSItems Attribute in the web config, but there is no such attribute in the beer house's web config.

I'm still in testing mode, but I am seeing the same article repeated multiple times (3) in the Articles RSSReader and am trying to figure out how/why it's deciding to display one article multiple times.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Steve

Steve
I believe you have to specify this in the actual markup of the control.

As I recall, the web.config attribute controls the number of items that are served by your own feeds.

Thanks Lee,

Modifying the web config as shown is getting me the correct number to show to the RSSReader
<articles pageSize="10" rssItems="3" />

I'm still not sure why the control is showing the same article multiple times, still

Steve

Have you checked if it is in the database multiple times? Does it show up in the Articles listing pages multiple times?

That was it. Not sure what happened. I entered and article, once, saved it, verified that it existed then moved on to other things, like adding the RSSReader for articles, which is where I noticed the multiples. I've been ignoring it while taking care of other things and have finally focused on it.

Yes, the article showed three times in the article browser and the RSSReader control, because there were three articles.

Maybe it was late at night when I created the article and I just copy and pasted to have multiple articles. I'm not sure now, but now it's good.

Thanks Lee.
