Default How to create a floating panel?

I don't like the javascript "confirm" messagebox that is used in different section for confirming deletion operation.

So I would like to display a kind of floating-hovering panel (it's hard to explain but i can present a screen shot if necessary) where I can put asp controls and of course design it with css.

The only thing that i thought about is creating a hidden div with z-index on every page that the deletion is required and show it when delete button is clicked.

Have you thought about using the AJAX Popup Control?

There is also a video that explains how to do it. I think the video explains how to attach the popup to a textbox, but it works the same way for any server control.

After playing for a while with this control I couldn't find a way to display the popup in the center of the screen (I want it to be positioned there).

Is it possible?

No, I believe you can only specify the pisition relative to the control it is extending.

Come to think of it, the Modal Popup is probably much better suited to what you want to do (see video here). It is totally stylable, you can put anything you want in it, you can position it in the center of the screen, and best of all, it works "modally" just like the JavaScript confirm dialog -- in other words, it forces you to make a choice before returning control to the UI.

I was thinking using this modalpopup also for category editing:When you click on a category edit button a modal will popup with detailview.

I also need to change the category creation/editing gui because I plan to use sub-categories and the given gridview simply is not enough for that.
