I'm trying to test the pages in chapter six as I do them, on the last role page but have been unavble to get past the

The only page that works is the administration page and that's because it

IgnoreCapabilityCheck = true;

am I missing something on the other pages,

When I step into the code the capability name come up null.

any help here.

Default

Here are a few things to check.
1. Make sure Anonymous access is turned OFF. The site uses integrated windows security.
2. Make sure your windows logon is in the ENTUserAccount table. You can change the default record in the table to use your windows logon.

Default Am able to get access to the data base but

This pick of code returns 0 roles

//the roles in the user object do not include the capabilities.
foreach (ENTRoleEO role in Roles)
{
ENTRoleEO roleWithCapabilities = rolesWithCapabilities.GetByRoleId(role.ID);
foreach (ENTRoleCapabilityEO capability in roleWithCapabilities.RoleCapabilities)
{
if (capability.Capability.ID == capabilityId)
{
if (capability.AccessFlag == ENTRoleCapabilityEO.CapabilityAccessFlagEnum.Edit)
{
returnENTRoleCapabilityEO.CapabilityAccessFlagEnum.Edit;
}
elseif (capability.AccessFlag == ENTRoleCapabilityEO.CapabilityAccessFlagEnum.ReadOnly)
{
//Since this is the least restrictive temporary set the return value to read only.
retVal = ENTRoleCapabilityEO.CapabilityAccessFlagEnum.ReadOnly;
}
}
}
}
return retVal;
}
