Hello I tried to Add reference of V2.PaidTimeOffBll to the website by right clicking the PaidTimeOffUI and the selecting the V2.PaidTimeOffBll in the projects Tab.

When i click ok i get the following error

A reference to 'V2.PaidTimeOffBll' could not be added. A project must build to a 'dll' extension in order to be referenced.

But i could reference the DLL AND FRAMWORK appropriately.

You need to build the DLL first before you could reference it.

I can do it ,

but wondering y the author did not mention it

He did mention it, in the directions for setting up the solution on page 8. Step #2 at the bottom:

"2. Select Class Library from the C# project types." (Emphasis mine)
