when i try the code concerning insertion in the DB (ch2 - page 28 and further) i get no error but nothing happens in my DB. no insertion at all.
do someone see a reason for that?

Hi, well, I think you should provide more information about your problem.
But guessing: maybe in your Default.aspx code you don't put the <onclik="btnInsert_Click"> declaration.

I think everything else it's right because you don't see an exception. Try posting more info of your code.
