I want to download the code for this book which is available in two places. It's available here and on the CodePlex site. I'm assuming that when a newer version of the code comes out the it's released on both sites.

Do both sites have the most recent version? Is there a way to reference a version number, release date or something similar to compare the two versions?

My understanding is that the code on Wrox is the code that was turned in with the book at publish time.

The version on CodePlex would presumably have updates, bug fixes, etc. to that, so the code there may not exactly match what's in the book.

Then again, the code on Wrox may not match the book either, so take that for what it's worth.

The CodePlex code is and will be the real source for the code. There is just not an easy way to keep source up to date on the WROX site. No the source code was not 'turned in' at the time of publication, it was done a year ago and submitted when I finished writing the book, which was 10 months before publication.

As Chris explained, yes, the CodePlex code is the "authoritative" version. I try to keep wrox.com's version up to date with the most recent "milestone" releases when there's an important update on codeplex.
