Default DataRow Or Class Object?

Why does the book sometimes specify a DataRow Return object as apposed to a class object. For instance the news class etc have a NewsDetails class which maps to the table, but the adverts section returns a DataRow! i am very confused can someone clear this up for me.

I don't have an answer for you yet but did you download the code for this book and try to open ThePhile solution?
If so what did you replace your connection string?

THanks

to be honest i not really run the code, i just used the book as a basis to produce my own .Net solution which is nothing like the book.

to get it to run you need to replace all the connectionStrings in the .config files of each component.

<ConnectionString>server=SERVER;uid=UNAME;pwd=PWOR D;database=thePhile</ConnectionString>

I havnt done it for a long, and as i said i dont use the code, so hope it helps!

Now can someone help me with my problem??

Rob,

Inconsistancies like this are probably due to the fact that there was more than 1 author. Each author had their own way of doing things. The more I read the book, the more obvious it is that the 2 authors probably didn't talk much.
