When I started,an error in Global.asax occured,and it said that "Canot load the type:'Wrox.ThePhile.Web.Global'".

I'm using windows XP pro. with IIS 5.0 I have created the following path

C:\wrox\ThePhile

then I create virtual directory under default website..when I run localhost I have this error..

Server Error in '/ThePhile' Application.

anyone know what is wrong with that...I can't even start the web...any help would be appreciated it

I am guessing you didn't properly upgrade the solution to VS 2003. Did you delete the .dll and .pdb files before trying to migrate?

Did you refresh you references after doing a build? This has to be done several times.

yeah, i'm using VS 2002. Do I have to upgrade to VS 2003...is it a requirement? If so, how do I upgrade? thanks

No, it was developed with 2002, and the code download is set up for 2002.

You need to check all of the references to see what's wrong. You may have to delete the .dll and .pdb files, like I described in another message. This is normally needed when you upgrade to 2003, but you might need to do it in your case. One of your DLLs is probably missing or corrupted.
