It's scheduled to begin work when ASP.NET 2 is offically released later this year. We may not actually see it until late this year, or early next year.

It's nice to see that the book have proceeded to it's second edition. I do have some feedback as a reader from the first edit,

Firstly, the arrangement of the source code is not very accessible to a newbie like myself.
Secondly, If this book can provide some background neccessary for the reader to at least play around with the XSL codes presented in the book in one of it's appendix.
Thirdly, as the reader will probably use Visual Studio.NET, it might also be help to include how to use VS.NET's built-in features to create the neccessary parts ie. walkthrough on creation and linking of XSL files etc. in one of it's appendix.

The lessons in the book is very well structured and the pace is easy for even a newbie.

I really hope that my feedback will reach the authors

XSL isn't a primary topic in the book. It was only used in a minor way. There are some very good books on XSL for people who want to learn all about it. I think you agree that this is a heavy topic and it can't be fully covered along with all the other things this book covers. This book is almost like a Reader's Digest of many different .NET subjects. The authors try to use a lot of ASP.NET features as an example of how those features can be used. This isn't intended to teach complete details.

This book isn't intended for newbies. It says that on the back of the book. I agree that newbies will find it a hard transition to go from a beginner book to this book, and I think the best solution would be for Wrox/Wiley to publish a book series that takes people from the basics all the way up to a full site design. But I don't think this wil happen.
