Default Beginning Access 2000 - MDAC 2.1

The Ice Cream database provided with "Beginning Access 2000" has a "Broken Reference" error for Microsoft Data Access Components version 2.1. The book's CD has the MDAC21 install program for this file but it won't install--probably because I am running WinXP and Access 2003.
Does anyone know if there is a path on my system where I could point that would satisfy the need for this broken reference? Do you think this is a WinXP problem or an Access version problem?
Thanks in advance,

Don Richard

I'd change the reference to the current version of MDAC. It should work just fine.
