Default P. 136 - Seats on plane

I was unable to get that example to run when I wrote it myself. I got the same problem that other users here did "Compile Error, Cant Find Project or Library" when it hits the "Left$" function.

I opened the Chapter 5 database that came with the book and ran it from that database. It worked. So, I copied that code into my "icecream.mdb" file and once again, same issue "Compile error.."

What's the issue?

It seems like a number of us have had this problem. Why no solution?

Thanks.
Lou

Forgot to mention. This was in the Access 2000 book.

Also, I copied the code that I wrote (verbatim from the book) to a blank Access DB and it worked fine.

Is there an issue with the icecream.mdb file?

Thanks,
Lou
