Default plz somebody help me to understand these code........

why we use dot operator in between these methods???????
Code:
 nm.cancel(getIntent().getExtras().getInt(“notificationID”));
what exactly we are doing with this code..? as cancel(int)method takes only one integer parameter ....

The method getint(...) of getExtras() of getIntent() returns the integer which is of interest...

Oh, this is an old thread. Never mind!
