I am also new and I also bought same book and I am using this version of ECLIPSE "eclipse-jee-helios-SR2-win32" and this version of of Android SDK "android-sdk_r15-windows" I followed each and every thing according to book author but the point where I stuck many times is on page # 18 ad bullet # 9, I wrote all lines and also save my program but I am not understanding that from where to select the project name in Eclipse which is written in book and then press F11 so then author show many options I didn't get any so please guide me...

any assistance will be appreciated...

Default Beginning Android Application development book code

Hi Yazi,

I read your post and got some hope of this book example codes to run. I was kind of frustrated and tired of it. so if I run "eclipse-jee-helios-SR2-32" would be oky. I install 64 bits because my computer is 64bit window7

I will try your solutions otherwise I will not command this book to anyone and rate zero 0; I spent too much time of googling for it.

thank you

Default Some hints

Hi Yanrai
Well I am not sure but it appears that you have not downloaded the SDK (Software Development Kit, I think).
Click on the 5th button on the menu bar, it looks like the top of the android robot with a down arrow. This will open a window to download code to your platform.
If the button is not there. Look in the folder/directory named 'android-sdk' there will be a 'SDK Manager.exe' icon there.
See page 12 and figure 1-16.
Hope this Helps
Cliff
