updating string values

I noticed that I guess with ICS 4.0, when you update strings.xml, the strings.out.xml is affected, because when i change strings, it gives an error at strings.out. what must I do so that this no longer happens?

What errors are you getting? How are you updating string now? Post the offending code and the error messages.
