Default CH. 4 Creating Local Variables

In the exercise to demo the creating local variables. I was wondering why the Option Explicit command was not used. Since it appears that this is a way to ensure that your variables are defined properly.

I did the exercise with the Option Explicit command and the only difference was that I had to declare the variable in each Sub procedure. I believe this is a better way of programming since it indicates that the variable is local.

I believe so, just some people decide not to use it, maybe in a late-binding scenario, or as a personal preference.
