Default ASP.NET code

Hi,

I go through Beginning ASP.NET 1.1 with VB.NET 2003, and I am using Visual Studio Enterprise. Since all of the examples of this book is target for using Web Matrix, I cannot use the project solutions like program which is develop using Visual Studio, which is separate the design and code behind. I would like to know if is there any tools can convert program from Web Matrix to Visual Studio? Since there is quite some syntax different, e.g.: imports and <% import %>

Any response will be appreciated.

Regards,
johan

Hey,

Haven't seen anything. Converting shouldn't be too bad. It's not like converting ASP to ASP.NET... Web Matrix is also free and can be installed with Visual Studio .NET 2003 on the machine also.

There is an appendix in the back of the book, not very helpful though, to teach some of the differences between webmatrix and vs.net . I had to get another book to be able to apply this book's examples into VS.net. also I used MSDN a lot. When it comes to developing asp.net using VS.net, Murach's book is better. I still like this book. I think it tought me a lot.

happy programming!
