This is posted as a separate topic as I feel it's important enough to warrant it. I want to make a few things clear about the live site at http://www.wroxunited.net. This site isn't hosted or handled by Wrox Press in any way, so don't mail wrox about any problems with it. The site runs from my web server in my garage or a fairly limited bandwidth line. There are no limits, it's just slow and shared my my internet access.

If the site is unavailable, it's best to just check back a little later. I may be doing maintenance on the server, the house (new electrical circuits for the computers), or a power cut - I live in a small village and these happen occasionally. If you have any problems with the live site, then post them here (preferrably in this thread, then we can avoid cluttering the forum).

Also, bear in mind that I've left nearly all of the editing features in the live site, which means that you have the ability to change data. Please realise that others may be using the site so don't delete data and try not to change too much.

Oh, and I should also add, that the best place to download the code samples from is the Wrox Press site at http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTit...load_code.html. You're liable to get better downloads speeds there, plus it won't cripple my Internet line.

The wroxunited.net site does not seem to be functioning. The Player's page is empty and the login does not work...even after registering. Since the WROX book on ASP.Net relies on this site for instructions, demo, and visual tutorial, it is difficult to follow the chapters. Is this a temporary issue? Or, is it better to abandon the WROX books because the site won't be dependable.

Hi Phillip. We do make every effort to keep the demo site running at all times and I'm sure now that Dave knows there's an error, he'll have it running again soon. In the mean time, all the code you need to run the examples in the book and learn this is here on the book's page on wrox.com.
