Hi,
Has anyone else noticed that after you log into this site, all of the content shifts down the page below the left navigation bar? Also, the time to load pages is very very slow. Is this something others have seen as well? Is this typical of ASP.NET 2.0?

Lastly, how would you rate the pagelayout capabilities of VWD compared to DW? I know that DW doesn't support ASP.NET 2.0, so I am struggling with which tools to use. I am not a "notepad" kind of developer.
Thanks,
Bob

The shifting should only appear on certain pages - it's a CSS issue that I haven't fully tracked down and you may see different results using different browsers. It's nothing to do with ASP.NET.

The performance is simply because this site is running on my server, in my garage on a slow internet connection. The server isn't a fast one, doesn't have much memory and occasionaly has intensive tasks running on it. I decided to provide this site as I thought it would be nice for readers to see it running live, but unfortunately I don't have the resources to host this on a more powerful machine. Without these resource limitations, the performance of ASP.NET is excellent.

I had a look at this and removed the "width: 100" value from the "#content" definition within the file "WroxRed.css". The result was that the content was displayed next to the menu instead of below.
