hi wonder if you can help when i open the site administration tool to set up the security set up wizard and set up new account i followed the steps in the book i put my user name and e-mail but when i put the password in and click create user i get the error message "Please enter a different e-mail.
Password length minimum: 7. Non-alphanumeric characters required: 1..

i have tried different combination of words and numbers and different lengths but still the message. Help please

You need to have at least one numberic character and at least one special character (non a-z). In the WroxUnited database I used username@123 for the passwords. So for user dave the password would be dave@123.

You can turn off this strict passwording, but you have to configure the membership provider in the web.config file, so for the moment it's probably best to just use numbers and special characters and well as normal characters.

just tried it again with the username@123 as the password and it worked
