I could not get anything to work in this chapter. Been a beginner at this and using this book has defiantly made it hard to understand what one needs to do.
When will you have the corrections to Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 with C# - Chapter 7 in the âErrataâ so that I can get on with my studying due to I have a time line to meet?
Ch. 7, page 212. Try It Out Line 1. Why do this step when there is already a âApp_Data folder already supplied?
Ch. 7, page 212. Try It Out Line 2. Why am I told to âOpen the web site for the chapter (C:\BegASPNET2\WroxUnitedCS)â when I am supposable working on Chapter 7?
Ch. 7, page 212. Try It Out Line 4. There is no site.master within chapter 7 to link to the Fixtures.aspx file. Try running the Default web page you will get all kinds of errors due to there are all kinds of files missing from the (.\Begin\Chapter07) folder.
Ch. 7, page 216. Try It Out Line 3. What are the steps to making a âNew connection? What connection am I to use? Where is the test button?
Ch. 7, page 220. Try It Out Line 1. Delete the existing SqlDataSoutce control and GridView. Were in the chapter did it ask one to add a âGridViewâ that I need to delete in this step?
I gave up working on this chapter could you get someone to go through the chapter and validate the examples and that you have supplied the correct files to complete the work required?
