Default cannot attach to databases with SQL Server Full

Hello,

I have a full version of VS Studio 2005 along with SQL Server 2005 installed on a Windows 2003 server. I downloaded the corrected Appendix B documentation but still cannot successfully attach to the wroxUnited.mdf file. First off, this directory does not exist on my computer: c:\Program files\Microsoft sql server\mssql.1\mssql\data, so I created my own 'data' directory copied the two .mdf files (wroxunited and aspnetdb). When I clicked attach >> Add >> chose wroxunited.mdf then click ok, I receive the following error:

Attach database failed for server 'myServer' Microsoft.sqlserver.smo

additional information:
An exception occurred while executing a transact-sql statement or batch. (microsoft.sqlserver.connectioninfo)

could not find fow in sysindexes for database ID 9, object ID 1, index ID 1. Run DBCC CHECKTABLE on sysindexes
Could Not Open new database 'G:\BEGASPNET2\FINALAPPLICATION\WROXUNITED\APP_DAT A\WROXUNITED.MDF' CREATE DATABASE is aborted. (Microsoft SQL Server Error: 602)
