I don't understand Q1.
To qualify, I understand everything in the first sentence, it's the 2nd sentence - what's it asking for? If I run the page without a code behind file, the contents of the label are displayed anyway. What do I need code for?
Looking at App A p638 for clues, it says "Create a class called CodeBehind.cs." Whoa! This was never mentioned in Ch10! Why doesn't it say "Create a file called CodeBehind.aspx.vb?"
And what about adding code to the Page Load event in CodeBehind.aspx? That can't be right either.

Can anyone clarify things for a logical thinker and ASP.NET 2.0 beginner?

And then there's Q2. I understand that there has to be some code that says "if there's a picture URL available, display it" but I don't know where to start to incorporate that into the newly created WroxUnited NewsControl site. And can anyone explain to me how the solution on p639 has been arrived at?

   Look at the last post on the thread. I think the only change required is to make the User Instance=True instead of User Instance=False in the connection string in the web.config file.
