In step 8 I am not able to locate the ShowStartingNode True/False in the Site Map Data Source properties grid. Could some please advise me on the location of the property.

Heuh? It should be there.

Just created a new page, dragged a SiteMapDataSource from the Toolbox and got the property in the Properties Grid.

Are you sure you are using a SiteMapDataSource and not a SiteMapPath? Also, do you get the property in IntelliSense in Markup View?

I was using the wrong data source and I am getting the property in IntelliSense in the markup view.
