Default Ch. 13 deleting a photo album?

Hi Imar:

I just finished chapter 13 and maybe this will be ahead in one of the other chapters.

I created two photo albums with the same name. Since I didn't see anyway to delete one of them from what we've done so far, I opened it from the server explorer, right clicked on the one I didn't want and clicked "delete". I go a message that said something to the effect of The delete statement conflicted with a Reference constraint.

Will we be modifying this later?

(update: I deleted that ID from the picture table first in the server explorer, then it let me delete it from the photo album. )

Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Yes, you'll see how this works later. Take a look here:

Reference Constraint?

And check out the TIOs on page 494 and page 498.

Cheers,

Imar

Thanks Imar.

I'm finishing up ch. 14 now.

I've learned so much from your book. Its great. I feel a lot more comfortable with using VS now. I still have a long way to go to learn the language but Visual Studio doesn't intimidate me quite as much as it did. I can't wait to start on my own website.

Thanks,

Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Good to hear you like the book so much....

Building your own web sit is the *best* way to apply and improve anything you learned. You'll see you'll be able to dig much deeper in VWD, C# and other concepts, giving you a much better feel for how they work once you start working on a real-world application.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Cheers,

Imar
