chapter 13, try it out p452-457 server error?

in step 17 it throws an error on trying to delete records:

Could not find a row that matches the given keys in the original values stored in ViewState. Ensure that the 'keys' dictionary contains unique key values that correspond to a row returned from the previous Select operation.

even after triple checking and eventually replacing my own file with the source file : ManagePhotoAlbums.aspx (and code behind file), after continuing with the next try it out, it does not work. the same "unhandeld exception" comes up.
The full source code chap 13 website DOES work, so the mistake must be in some other file on my version of the site....

Any suggestions??

Hi Robin,

Check out the relevant database table. Does it have an Id column which is an identity and the primary key?

Thanks for the suggestion, the Id column in the Picture table does have the identity specification set to 'yes' and it has the primary key.... any other suggestions?

If you're sure you're using the same page code, then it must be something in either the LINQ to SQL model or in the database. Have you checked the model and compared it with mine?

Another thing to check is ViewState. Maybe you disabled it in the web.config file?

I had jumped over the problem and started to use your code.
I checked the other possibilities you mentioned, but no succes yet.
