Chap 11: "Properties" function missing

Hello,

I am trying to to the TIO on pg 356 which asks you to right click the app_data folder and go to properties.

There is no properties option when I right click.

Going to the top of the solution explorer and choosing the properties icon doesn't help either as it doesn't bring up the app_data properties window or any tabs at all as listed in figure 11-3.

All the properties icon does is bring a foldername and full path options.

Why wouldn't there be a properties option when I right click the app_data folder?

Hi Thomas,

I think you missed an important instruction in step 2:

Quote:

To this end, locate the folder App_Data of the web site you created in step 1 using Windows Explorer, right-click it, and choose Properties

In other words, you won't find this in VWD's Solution Explorer but in a regular Windows Explorer.

Sorry if this is worded a bit confusing in the book.
