Default Chapter 9 pg 304 JavaScript questions

Hi Imar,

I have a few questions dealing with scripting:

1. Is there a javascript resource you recomend...book, website, etc., for learning javascript?

2. Where are the source and args are comming from

function ValidatePhoneNumbers(source, args)

3. There are several scripting languages can we use any of these and do all browsers support them?
<script type="text/C#" ; javascript; ecmascript; jscript; VB; and vbscript

Thanks for all your help.

Imar,

Disregard the (source, arg) question. I didn't read "how it works" sorry about that.

JavaScript is the de facto language and supported by pretty much any browser. VB Script is only supported by Internet Explorer. So, JavaScript should be your language of choice, unless you're developing for an IE only Intranet. And then still I would choose JavaScript.

With regards to the JavaScript book: take a look at Professional JavaScript for Web Developers, 2nd Edition

Cheers,

Imar
