Question Theme Error When Viewing in Browser

Hello:

I have been trying to get around an error that is generated when I attempt to open any of the pages on the Planet Wrox site that is built as you follow this guide. The error is as follows:

"Theme 'Dark Grey' cannot be found in the application or global theme directories."

It appears that the only way that I can clear this error is to rename the "DarkGrey" theme folder to "Dark Grey". However, this is contrary to how the folder structure exists in the source files (which also produce the error btw).

I copied the site folder structure to another computer and I do not get any errors!

The computer that gets the error is running Windows 7... The computer that works is running Windows XP.

Any ideas??

Hi there,

Apparently, you're assigning Dark Grey with a space as the theme somewhere. Did you check the BasePage class and the web.config file? Maybe it was an earlier mistake and you still have an old cookie with that name?

Hope this helps,

Imar

It was the cookie, which I had to manually remove. Once I did, everything worked great. Thank you!

You're welcome. Glad it's working now and have fun with the remainder of the book.

Cheers,
